# Land Parcels API

Use this page to choose a cadastre or property search, prepare your first request, and find guidance on identifiers and planning data.

## When to use this API

Retrieve Australian cadastre and property polygons by PID, related identifier, point, or bounding box. Request planning attributes with cadastre results when needed.

## Responses

- Results contain GeoJSON polygon features. A cadastre PID can identify multiple polygons
- Polygon `area` and response `totalArea` are measured in square metres. `totalArea` covers the current page
- Follow `links.next` when another page is available
- Read `messages` and retain the returned `attribution`
